In the nearly 20 years as a married couple turned family we have moved 11 times. Through all those moves we have never hired a service for moving or general home maintenance.

The children and I arrived about 7 in the evening (with Hurley and Marcie in tow) and upon opening the door to the house I knew something was definitely wrong.

As much as the do’er in me wanted to get started and not pause to be with extended family, I knew this was an extra opportunity to stay hid (at this point it felt more like being lost) in Jesus.

With no ‘right’ place to begin, I begin. As I sit here I understand the only sameness I have is the music streaming into my ears. Time has passed (67 days to be exact)

I find one way I am able to move forward with breath and life giving HOPE is by looking back, here are my notes, ultimately and always at least for me in this my journey with Jesus.

Good morning friends, what is life like for you this morning? Are you light-hearted, heavy-hearted or a little of both? Bounding with energy or already sighing in exhaustion? Do you have hope for this day, this One Day, this certain day which is unknown to you, but known to your Maker and is before you with His promised good in it?

It’s day 40 and on day 39 God knew I needed an angel food cake.

Today is day 38/40 and earlier this morning I wrote earlier “part 9.” I’ve asked Jesus to let me finish the story. I’ve asked Him to please, really finish, like completely write out and shine light upon the next steps yet this day.
