Here we are, this flock on a herd!
This above photo is one of our favorites! It represents for us a time of creating some amazing memories. It was one of our Down-the-Road Dreams, realized. It consisted of days and weeks living on the road, in a pop-up camper, pulled by "Queenie" our trusty mini-van. It was a fantastic time! Our time was full of freedom and it gave us, our flock, some lasting fruit. Those 44 days, as the five of us (+ Curly Hurley our Goldendoodle), traveling 2,874 miles, across and through 8 states, weren't free from flaws though! We wouldn't have changed a thing. Well... I guess that isn't entirely true, haha! Over all, I guess we'd say it was "totally worth it, freedom, flaws, and all!"
From left to right: we totally jacked up the pop-up camper we were borrowing when we managed to slide the bed over the rail guides, the awning from the borrowed camper blew off due to gale force winds (and at the same time our stand alone canopy and only other source of shade was destroyed!), deer ticks...(we had 34 ticks in total in just a 9 day stretch in VA, first one within 30 minutes of arrival, eek!), and of course...we locked our keys in "Queenie" the van!
